Power Automate Use Cases in Finance
28 April 2025Krannich Solar is a major international supplier of solar systems, with branches and warehouses in over 25 countries.
The challenge
As a supplier of all products that contribute to the operation of a photovoltaic system, Krannich stores thousands of product codes in each warehouse.
The large number of SKUs, combined with the company’s move to a new warehouse, burdened the picking process, making it difficult for warehousemen to find the products.
The solution
For this reason, Krannich trusted Verus+ with the integration of the Mantis WMS software, as well as the design of the numbering system.
Using our many years of experience in warehouse management, we proceeded to the efficient bin numbering with a hierarchical structure. We established optimal route picking, reducing the distance travelled by warehouse staff.
Through Mantis WMS, each warehouseman carries out his tasks (picking, picking, stocktake, inward movement) using a portable terminal with scanner. He makes quick, simple scans, ensuring that he is always working on the right SKU, and with the right quantities.
At the same time, we configured the software to suggest the optimal collection route, even in cases of simultaneous collection of multiple orders.
With Mantis, the purchasing department knows the actual quantity of stock at any time. Thus, it always orders the right quantity according to shortages and future demand.
At the same time, we integrated Mantis WMS with Soft1 ERP through an appropriate communication mechanism developed by Verus+. In this way the flow of information between the two systems is smooth and direct. Users, without having to leave the system they are familiar with, can perform complex tasks such as issuing shipping notes based on picking lists or preparing unannounced receipts through the ERP purchasing system.
The results
These actions had a significant impact on the performance of the warehouse.
Initially, picking speed increased significantly, resulting in warehousemen picking 24% more order lines per day.
Order errors were minimised, changing the order accuracy rate from 95 to 99.5%. Customer satisfaction improved, increasing the likelihood of repeat purchases.
The simplicity of intelligent numbering in warehouse navigation, combined with the ease of use of the mobile terminal application, makes it easy to locate products, even for new employees.
Finally, optimising the quantity of stock resulted in 15% more free shelves. As a result, warehouse workers work efficiently in an organized, clean warehouse, and the business gains great flexibility to incorporate new, innovative products.
